Offer takeaways with Preoday

There's no denying the knock-on effect of Covid-19 on the hospitality sector, but there is some good news - takeaways and delivery services can remain operational.

To help businesses like restaurants and pubs survive the outbreak, the rules around becoming a takeaway have been relaxed. At present, current regulations require businesses to apply for planning permission to carry out a change of use and serve hot food as a takeaway.

However, operators will now able to offer this service without planning permission for up to 12 months under emergency measures unveiled by the government. Businesses will now be required to inform their local planning authority when the new use begins and ends*.

How to get your business ready

Financial help from the government has been announced, but restaurants are naturally seeking alternative methods for attracting revenue to survive during the outbreak.

We want to help our clients and businesses alike as much as possible during these challenging times. We’ve partnered with Preoday - a pre-ordering and ‘click and collect’ solution - to help get any company that wants online ordering, up and running within 48 hours.

The system integrates with your existing website and lets customers order food and drink at their convenience.

If you know any business that is struggling and could benefit from online ordering, please get in touch with Cunninghams today by calling 0330 024 5014 or emailing sales@cunninghams.co.uk. We’re here to help.
