Outdoor dining from 12 April – how we can help

Boris Johnson has confirmed that restaurants, pubs, and cafes can reopen for outdoor dining in England no earlier than 12 April. Customers will have to be seated when they order food or drink. The previous ‘substantial meal’ rule has also been scrapped.

Whilst the reopening of the hospitality sector is good news, we know this also comes with a lot of challenges for businesses.

Here are just some of the ways we can help:

Online ordering with Preoday

In addition to Click & Collect and delivery solutions, our partnership with Preoday means we can offer an ‘Order to Table’ solution. There’s no need to queue, as customers can order, pay and receive their food or drink outside, all without leaving their table.

QReservations available in the Preoday app

Our bookings software QReservations is also available in the Preoday app. This means customers can make reservations in advance and deposits can be made for larger groups.

You can see it in action here.

MOVE handheld tablets

MOVE is the professional paper-free way to take food and drinks orders at the table.

With the same functionality as your EPOS terminal, MOVE allows you to spend more time providing the best possible service to your customers without the need to ever visit the bar or kitchen. You can find out more here.

And finally…don’t forget to complete your EPOS health check, to help your business get back up and running as smoothly as possible. To find out more, click here.
