Diners will soon be able to take advantage of the new ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, designed to boost the hospitality sector this summer.
How does it work:
The new scheme, running from the 3rd-31st August, gives people a discount of up to 50% on sit-down meals and non-alcoholic drinks in a participating restaurant or food establishment.
The discount is valid on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, in all parts of the UK that are not in a local lockdown.
The maximum discount available per person, including children, is £10. There’s no limit on how many times it can be used in participating businesses.
Diners won’t need vouchers to claim the vouchers. Instead, businesses will claim the money back from the government. The money will be transferred into their bank accounts within five working days.
